Chronicles of Darkness (CoD-X)

Chronicles of Darkness

We live our days completely ignorant of the true terrors lurking around us. Only rarely do our experiences draw back the veil of shadows and reveal the horror in our midst. These glimpses into the supernatural can cause us to retreat into comforting lies — “There are no such things as monsters” — or stir our morbid curiosity. Only a few, however, can overcome their fear and dare to look deeper.”

~ Onyx Path

In our World of Darkness, changelings, demons, mages and vampires exist together in linked games across Canada (and, indeed, internationally) – as rivals, friends, and allies of convenience.  Some seek mere survival, others dream of glory and jockey for power, still others seek something less tangible.  Behind all of these machinations, the mysterious specter of the God Machine looms – what is its role in our story?  Join us and find out!

Choose one of the four supernatural types below, and create a new character for our Chronicle of Darkness, launching early next year.

A Brief History of Darkness

Chronicles of Darkness (previously known was ‘New Wod’ or NWoD) was first created in 2004, and we’re pleased to be following it’s journey as it enters its second edition.  Because we like to abbreviate everything, we’ve taken to calling it CoD-X (pronounced ‘codex’), both to emphasize the cross-venue nature of our World of Darkness, and to distinguish it from cod, which as a white fish, is not dark at all.  CoD-X currently has a number of other supporting lines in addition to the four venues currently sanctioned for our new continuity.

Documents

Our continuity is shared with the Mind’s Eye Society. As such, our setting documents are being hosted on the MES CoD-X 2018 website.
